High jumpers from around the world are raising the bar high in Filothei!
A great high jump competition is expected to be held in the 23rd edition of Filothei Women Gala, on June 1 as many athletes from around the world alongside the greek stars have already confirm their participation.
What we can tell is that the bar will be raised… high, as per every year.
The Serbian rising star, Angelina Topic (PB 1.88m) who has already been in Greece for training camps, is joining us in our meeting targeting a new PB. The Olympic Games finalist from Montenegro who also is the national record holder in HJ, Mariya Vukovic (1.97m), will attend the meeting with the intentio to retain her «title». The young high jumper from Cyprus, Despina Charalampous (1.84m) alongside the Czech champion Michaela Hruba (1.94m) are competing too. The list with the participants from abroad is complete with the Lithuanian champion Ultre Baysktyte (1.90m).
The best greek jumpers will be there too. Tatiana Gousin (1.91m), Ioanna Zakka (1.91m), Panagiota Dosi (1.86m), Despina Maltampe (1.83m) and Eleftheria Christogeorgou (1.81m) won’t miss the gala and all of them are going to chase great marks.
The meeting will be broadcasted live from the national tv (ERT3).
Competition starts at 17:30.
